Learning Reiki
Learning Reiki is natural, easy and everyone who is interested in learning about energy and healing should look into taking a Reiki course.
The difficulty however is that for those who want to learn Reiki there are so many different options available, many offering powerful attunement and magical symbols. So if you do want to learn Reiki what should you do? The answer to that is take your time and do your homework.

Reiki is abroad church, by that I mean you will find hundreds of types of Reiki courses to learn in, with different Reiki Masters. This can be confusing so taking your time is essential.
We all like to learn in different ways and we like diferent aspects of Reiki. some like to learn Reiki in the Traditional western way, where ritual attunements are the core of the teaching whilst other prefer the more rigid Japanese approach that some teach: others are interested in Angels and Guides. The key to enjoying Reiki is to learn Reiki in a Reiki course that appeals to you. If you don't like Angels, don't go to Angel Reiki, if you like lots of rituals, for instance our Reiki courses would not appeal to you. Find out what the Reiki teahcer is offering and decide if that form of Reiki is for you. It is essential that you speak to the Reiki teacher as well as you want to gel with the teacher as well as the style of Reiki.

Reiki always begins with Reiki One or 1st Degree during which you will explore healing, the history or Reiki, the Reiki Ideals and have some healing practice. During Reiki One you will have some kind of attunement process in most, but not all, forms of Reiki. You should leave the Reiki One course with a good knowldge of healing, what the Reiki stseym is and how to use Reiki. The Reiki One course is an introduction to healing and the ideas of Reiki, the course is usually two days and I would recomend that you do not take a Reiki course less than two days. In the decade of teaching Reiki I have always experienced that people need at least two days to gain enough practice and time to ask questions. One day is never enough.
Generally the Reiki system is split into Reiki One Two and Masters however different Reiki schools offer different courses. After Reiki One you will move onto Reiki Two course to explore the Reiki symbols and how to use them. At this point there is a great variation on what you will be taught about the Reiki symbols so ensure you ask the Reiki teacher how they are going to explain how and why Reiki symbols work.. On this Reiki course you will have further attunements of some kind.
it is important to understand that each style of Reiki performs Reiki attunement differently. Karuna Reiki for example has different Reiki symbols taught on their course than Traditional Reiki. All attunement processes work, it does not matter what type of attunement you take part in, you will be able to perform healing. In the Reiki book I explain why.
